Seven château hotels in the vineyards of France

Château de Valmer, La Croix Valmer

This picturesque hotel is set in the grounds of a single sloping hill. The area is decorated with vineyards and plum trees. The building itself is in the traditional style of the country villas. Visitors have access to a bar where the best vintage wines of the region are on offer, a library, and cellars that date back to the 12th century.
Château du Tertre, Arsac
The vineyards of Margaux are popular not only in France, but also beyond. Thanks to them, some of the top Bordeaux wines are born. You can immerse yourself in the incredible winemaking atmosphere by staying in a guesthouse with a fantastic view of the vineyards. The building itself was built in 1865. It is decorated with beams and the ceiling is French oak. Guests are welcome to visit the cellar.
Hostellerie du Château des Fines Roches, Châteauneuf-du-Pape
The hotel is housed in the original château, which dates back to the 19th century. It once belonged to the Marquis of Baroncelli. Many artists, particularly poets of Provence fame, have found inspiration within the walls of the château. The turrets with turrets give it a striking appearance. Guests can sample local wines, enjoy a meal on the terrace or swim in the pool.
Château de Mercuès, Mercuès
Caors vineyards are renowned for producing a wine with a dark red hue. The grape variety is called Malbec. Wine tasting is offered by the hotel, which is set in a magnificent building that was once the home of the bishops of Caor. Vineyard management was concentrated in their hands. The building now houses a four-star hotel with a swimming pool. It is surrounded by lush cedar trees.
Domaine de Verchant Relais & Châteaux, Montpellier
The hotel is housed in a building made of white stone. The age of the building is approximately 200 years. The tiled roof in orange is on the top. Additional decorations are the palm trees that wrap around the small terraces. There is a wine cellar that holds 10 thousand bottles. Enjoy a glass of wine and excellent Mediterranean cuisine.

This stunning château is located in one of the oldest wine-producing regions in Provençal. It was built in the 18th century. Today it is home to a luxury hotel where you can sample the local wines, indulge in a spa and discover some of the region’s best gastronomic specialities.
